History
Founded in 2008, ALTOPLAST SLU. can be characterised by the milestones achieved throughout its history:
2008
Altoplast is founded in November 2008 with a capital split between two partners.
Commercial activity begins without own production.
2009
ALTOPLAST starts production by purchasing a first sewing machine and some tools in 200 sqm premises.
2010
In December 2010, Alberto Manchón buys 100% of the shares of ALTOPLAST.
The company has 4 employees and moves its production to a new 800 sqm warehouse located in Taradell.
2012
ALTOPLAST expands its workforce to 25 people and moves to a larger building, with a total of 1,500 sqm.
This year 3 patents are registered.
2013
The first CNC centre for automatic textile cutting is purchased, which enables production to be increased and more competitive packaging to be designed.
ALTOPLAST expands its production space for assembly and manufacturing, acquiring another warehouse, totalling 3,500 sqm.
2014
ALTOPLAST is certified in accordance with ISO 9001/2008, meeting the required quality standards.
An important leap forward in terms of quality is made.
2017
ALTOPLAST moves to new premises of 7,000 sqm, with a total surface area of 15,000 sqm.
The number of employees rises to 90.
2018
ALTOPLAST automotive is founded, specialising in the manufacture of parts for the automotive sector. A new 1,500 sqm site is acquired for the activity. The current workforce totals 110 employees.
2019
ALTOPLAST SLU. Growth continues and the warehouse area is extended to 2,000 sqm.
At the same time, a total of 4 new machines are acquired to further improve production capacity.
2020
In October 2020 the purchase of the new ALTOPLAST Metal production plant is signed. Located in Santpedor, it will have 5,000 sqm dedicated to the production of containers and metal structures.
A large amount of specific machinery is acquired.
2022
ALTOPLAST Metal continues to grow and expands the production space in Santpedor with 7,000 sqm.
ALTOPLAST has a total of more than 150 workers in all its plants.
2023
For the first time Altoplast reaches 200 employees and its turnover exceeds 20 M€.
